Usually when poker is transferred to the silver screen, the essence of the game gets lost somewhere. Poker is simply more exciting to play than to watch. But there are a handful of exceptions. For poker fans who’d like to watch quality poker movies there is "California Split" (1974), "The Cincinnati Kid" (1965) and of course "Rounders" (1998) the film that made Texas holdem poker popular.
